My favourite campsite in Ireland! It’s located by a river where you could go fir nice walks in the nature! The side is surrounded by trees and bushes which give shelter when its windy. The hosts are super nice and made us feel welcome! They gave us suggestions what to do in the area. Everything was clean and tidy. The campers kitchen was very well equipped and clean too. We intended to stay for one night on our trip around Ireland but we decided to stay three nights and go hike up the Errigal Mountain! Amazing view! All in all we would definitely come back! Thank you for the hospitality…
We had a lovely 2 night stay in sleepy hollows campsite. Ian the owner is a character and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and show you around the facilities. Campsite is located about a 10 minute stroll from Leos tavern so a few pints and some irish music and craic isnt far away. The Crolly whiskey distillery is also close by and it's worth doing a tour especially if the weather isnt good. Theres also a lovely riverside walk from the campsite so plenty to do. The tent camping area is grassed and although this is a small campsite there was plenty of room between pitches. There is a communal covered seating area which has a nice campfire going in the evenings. lovely to sit there and chat to your fellow campers if the weather is inclement. The small toilet / shower blocks are a little dated but very clean, hot, and included in the price. There is a small kitchen that has everything you could need to make a simple meal including fridge and freezer, and again spotlessly clean. In summary a small very friendly, relaxed and spotlessly clean campsite in a great location to unwind. We would definitely come back.
For me this was definitely one of the best campsites of the Wild Atlantic Way. Beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere, tidy kitchen, nice showers, cozy communal area, good recycling options and friendly owners. The starting point of the Errigal hike isn't too far and the views from the top are amazing if the weather is good.
