The Shack
The Shack gives you the chance to meet like-minded travellers, sit down for a meal, listen to the talented and brave campers who bring out their instruments, and enjoy making memories with your loved-ones and friends.
The Shack is part of the outdoor communal area - offering a crackling campfire to sit round most evenings weather permitting, large pub benches and outdoor seating, and all set on stone making it suitable for barbecues. Providing shelter from the elements, there are dining tables and chairs - a nice spot to stretch out and relax. Bond over a game of Chess with a stranger, or the giant Connect4 winner-stays-on, where Ireland took the top-spot last year, closely followed by France.
We wish for everyone to have a good time here, and it is a place to be able to let your hair down and feel at home. This is a nice retreat for folks who appreciate a peaceful and relaxing campsite - sharing a space with other grown-ups and where everyone gets to enjoy their holiday. If you are looking for the late late night party site, then this isn’t the campsite for you.
If you think you need to know more, see the Terms and Conditions page.
The Dry-House
The communal area includes a Dry House - a small dry space with hangers to hang your wet gear and clip-hangers for your hand-washed smalls. We don’t have washing machines or tumble drier here - our local Mace petrol station has large machines, and just a 3 minute drive. Known locally as Stephen Ann’s, the Mace serves a nice coffee and hot food - a good bite to eat whilst you wait - and holds a good variety of food and drink for you to stock up on.
